Kulturhjerte in short

#1

A weekly meeting place and development arena for children and young people from all over the world who together create a theater performance based on cultural expressions from all their countries of origin.

Since its inception, 250 children from 30 nations have flourished in Kulturhjerte – and many more parents have been included and integrated into the cultural city of Lillehammer.

An important success factor is professional instructors in directing, choreography, costume design, music, sound and lighting, who ensure the high quality of the performance and work closely with the participants throughout the year.

Parents make up the production groups that volunteer to carve, sew, serve and host the festive performances. The production groups are thus in themselves a social and inclusive arena.

The performances are shown to friends, family, schoolmates and other audiences in Lillehammer. In 2021, we staged a performance for the first time in Maihaugsalen in Lillehammer.
